A man was fatally shot in the head just three blocks from his Queens apartment on Friday, cops said.
Jairo Javier Vinces-Cobena, 36, was shot outside a residential building on 55th Ave., a short walk from his apartment on 98th St. in Corona, around 7:49 p.m., according to law enforcement.
Medics rushed him to Elmhurst Hospital, where he died, police said.
There were no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
