A 38-year-old man died in his SUV after he was shot in Brooklyn early Tuesday, police said.
Shots rang out on Ocean Drive near Surf Ave., a dead-end block leading to Coney Island’s Riegelmann Boardwalk, about 1:30 a.m., cops said.
Police canvassing the area found the victim in a double-parked grey Chevrolet Equinox on W. 35th St. and Surf Ave., about a block from where the shooting was reported. The vehicle’s passenger window had been shot out.

The victim was shot in the chest and arm and died at the scene, cops said. His name was not immediately released.
Police learned of the shooting through the NYPD’s ShotSpotter system, a network of 2,000 sensors around the city, mostly in high crime areas, designed to pick up the sound of possible gunfire.

No arrests have been made. Cops were scouring the area for surveillance video that could help them identify any suspects.
