A 64-year-old man was injured when a man shouting antisemitic slurs shoved him in Brooklyn, cops said Wednesday.
The victim was attacked at the intersection of Kings Highway and Ocean Ave. in Midwood around 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, according to law enforcement.
Medics rushed the victim suffering injuries to his back and waist to Maimonides Midwood Community Hospital.
The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the incident as a hate crime assault.
Cops released images on Wednesday of the suspect, who was last seen fleeing the scene on foot wearing a gray shirt and red ballcap.
Hate crimes in the city are up so far this year, with 322 reported as of June 30, an 8% jump compared to the same period last year, according to NYPD crime stats. More than 55% of all hate crimes reported this year have targeted Jewish victims, stats show.
