Man, 70, punched in the face by stranger in unprovoked Harlem assault

A 70-year-old man was sucker punched by a stranger in an unprovoked attack in Harlem, police said Friday.

The victim was at E. 137th St. and Malcolm X Blvd. when the man approached him and punched him in the face around 6:55 p.m. on March 20, according to law enforcement officials.

Medics treated the victim at the scene.

The NYPD released photos of a suspect and are asking for the public’s help in tracking him down.

The suspect was last seen fleeing south on Malcolm X Blvd. wearing a red hat, black sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, and brown boots.
