A driver was charged Friday, April 3, with killing a Santa Ana couple and their unborn son when, authorities said, he crashed into their car in Pomona while fleeing from police earlier this week.
In addition to three counts of murder, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office charged Marshall Campbell Judson of Pomona with three counts of evading police causing death, one count of assault with a deadly weapon on an officer, and carrying a concealed 9mm handgun in a vehicle, according to the criminal complaint.
Judson, 31, was initially a suspect in a domestic-violence act on the 400 block of East 10th Street.

Officers were talking to his wife on Wednesday night, April 1, when he returned in a pickup, drove recklessly and intentionally hit a parked patrol car, police said. No officer was hurt.
Judson then led officers on a chase, heading south on Garey Avenue. Near Country Road his pickup slammed into a car carrying Marc Trejo Saldivar, 26, and his pregnant girlfriend, Jennifer Loera Zarco, 25.
The couple died at the scene, and the baby was lost as well.
“This unimaginable loss has left our family heartbroken,” according to a GoFundMe created by a Saldivar relative raising money for funeral expenses.
“Marc Anthony was a kind, loving and genuine person who meant so much to everyone who knew him,” the GoFundMe message said. “Jennifer was just as special, full of love, warmth, and kindness.
“Together, they were building a future and excited to welcome their baby boy into this world.”
The Pomona collision was one of several involving people apparently fleeing the authorities this week in Southern California.
Three crashes with the authorities about have left six people dead.
A driver suspected of running a red light in Anaheim on Tuesday, March 31, crashed into three vehicles, killing a 14-year-old boy and a 70-year-old man. Several people were also injured. An officer was following but did not turn on his lights and siren and was not actively in pursuit, police said.
The day before, a driver in a stolen U-Haul van fleeing deputies struck a SUV in San Clemente — killing a woman who was a passenger. Three other people in the SUV were critically injured.
