A man is dead following a shooting Sunday morning in Fort Worth, police said in a statement.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting about 10:30 a.m. in the 4000 block of Ridglea County Club Drive.

Once there, police and Fort Worth fire personnel began treating the man with the gunshot wound. The victim, whom officials didn’t publicly identify, died at the scene, the statement said.

Police said the preliminary investigation suggested the shooting was an isolated incident, and the circumstances remain under investigation by Fort Worth homicide detectives.

The suspect fled prior to officers’ arrival, the statement said.
