A man died after he was found unconscious — his body covered in bruises — in the stairwell of a NYCHA building in Manhattan Monday morning, cops said.
The unidentified victim was found unconscious in a tower within the Wald Houses on E. Sixth St. near FDR Drive in the East Village shortly after 6 a.m., according to police.
Medics rushed the man to Bellevue Hospital, where he died.
The man had no ID on him when he was found, cops said.
The city’s medical examiner will determine the man’s cause of death.
