A man was stabbed in the face by a stranger in an apparently unprovoked attack in a Brooklyn subway station, police said Monday.
The 26-year-old victim was attempting to board an East New York-bound C train inside the Rockaway Ave. station in Ocean Hill when a stranger stabbed him in the face with a sharp instrument about 5:55 p.m. Sunday, according to police.
Medics took the victim to Brookdale University Hospital in stable condition.
The attacker ran off in an unknown direction and has not been caught or identified, police said.
Felony assaults in the subway have increased 11% this year, with 461 so far in 2026 compared to 417 by this time last year, NYPD statistics show.
