Mariah Carey was spotted holding hands on a night out at the mall and movie theater with Anderson .Paak, nearly 20 years her junior, further fueling dating rumors that have surrounded the Grammy winners for nearly a year and a half.
The “We Belong Together” crooner, 57, and 40-year-old rapper wore matching sparkly outfits Thursday as they strolled hand-in-hand through AMC Theatres at Los Angeles’ Century City mall, the theater chain’s signature MacGuffins Bar visible throughout the clip published by TMZ.
The two — who went to see “The Devil Wears Prada 2” — were filmed lining up at the concessions stand behind a regular theatergoer.
In recent months, TMZ reports that .Paak, real name Brandon Paak Anderson, sparked dating speculation with Jeannie Mai.
Carey and .Paak released “Play This Song” in September as the second track off her newest album, “Here For It All.”
“I want you to grab the hand of the person you love and tell them ‘BABY IM HERE FOR IT ALL!!’” .Paak captioned an Instagram carousel of the pair at the time, featuring several photos and videos of them together. “@mariahcarey thank you for letting me be a part of your epic journey. I’m forever grateful and truly humbled.”
They were linked just before Christmas 2024, when they were spotted holding hands heading into a restaurant.
TMZ at the time reported that the two looked “super happy,” and .Paak had a hand around the waist of the Queen of Christmas, though sources said they were just getting dinner while collaborating on new music, “not dating.”
The sighting was nearly a year after .Paak filed for divorce from his wife, Jae Lin, after more than a decade of marriage. He was reportedly seeking joint legal custody of their kids.
Carey was 23 when she first married to former record producer Tommy Mottola, then 43, from 1993 to 1997. She has twins Moroccan and Monroe, now 15, with second husband Nick Cannon, to whom she was married from 2008 to 2014.
