Looking for a delicious event during Fourth of July weekend? The Oscar Meyer Wienermobile will be driving through North Texas and making stops at multiple events in the area July 3-5.
The iconic, 27-foot-long Wienermobile is one of a fleet of six. There have been more people who have been in space than have driven the Wienermobile.
The Wienermobile coming to North Texas is being driven by “Hotdoggers” Caroline McCaller, aka “Cookout Caroline,” from Cumming, Ga., and Norah Martin, aka “Nacho Dog Norah,” from Media, Pa. They are among this year’s class of Hotdoggers and will be visiting multiple events in the area. At each event they will visit with community members by listening to stories, playing games and posing for pictures with the Wienermobile.
“My favorite part so far is getting to see the United States through a different lens. I absolutely love to travel, which is such a large component of being a Hotdogger,” McCaller said. “Watching everyone react to seeing the Wienermobile is also extremely heartwarming because it never fails to put a smile on someone’s face.”
They will be making stops at the following events:
“Texas has been absolutely incredible so far,” said Martin said. “I bought my first pair of cowboy boots this week and already got to go line dancing! I am really looking forward to spending the Fourth of July here in Dallas. We’ll be at a parade in the morning in Double Oak, and then exploring the city the rest of the day and enjoying the town’s celebrations.”
