A 40-year-old predator who goes by the online handle “Mr. Immaculate” was arrested for raping two women — one of whom he forced into sex work — inside his Manhattan apartment after meeting them on an online livestreaming app, prosecutors said Tuesday.
John Burton used the name “Mr. Immaculate” as he cruised for victims on BIGO, a livestreaming app he used to recruit women into prostitution, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said.
“John Burton, streaming as ‘Mr. Immaculate,’ raped a woman he met online, and then trafficked a second woman he met online, later repeatedly raping her,” Bragg said in a statement.
Burton, who openly discussed prostitution while livestreaming, met his first victim online around November 2025, according to prosecutors, who said he sexually assaulted that victim inside his apartment three months later.
The defendant met his second victim through the app in April and began trafficking her shortly afterwards, withholding cash and food, while threatening her with physical violence when she didn’t meet his quotas, prosecutors said.
After that victim was treated for an infection at a hospital, Burton, who often carried a firearm, forced her to have sex with him despite being in pain, and then raped her a second time while she was sleeping, according to officials.
Cops arrested Burton for the crimes on Aug. 4, according to court papers. A judge ordered him held without bail.
In an indictment unsealed Tuesday, Burton was charged with predatory sexual assault, sex trafficking, rape, and sex abuse, prosecutors said.
