A new class of Disney Legends inducted into the company’s hall of fame during the D23 fan expo in Anaheim includes wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Broadway music composer Lin-Manuel Miranda and new Lakers owner Bob Iger.

The Disney Legends award presentation on Sunday, Aug. 16 at the Honda Center marked the finale of the three-day D23 fan event taking place this weekend at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The Disney Legends award is given to artists, actors, voice actors, songwriters, musicians, broadcasters, directors, producers, executives and Walt Disney Imagineers who made significant and lasting contributions to Disney films, TV shows, music and theme parks.

The 11 new Disney Legends include:

  • Chris Berman – ESPN’s voice of the NFL for more than three decades.
  • Jerry Bruckheimer – Producer of the Pirates of the Caribbean and National Treasure franchises.
  • Susan Egan – Belle in “Beauty and the Beast” on Broadway and voice of Megara in “Hercules.”
  • Eric Goldberg – Animator of Genie in “Aladdin,” Louis in “The Princess and the Frog” and Phil in “Hercules” and co-director of “Pocahontas.”
  • Anne Hathaway – Actress in “The Princess Diaries,” “Ella Enchanted” and Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland.”
  • Bob Iger – Disney CEO who acquired Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and 21st Century Fox and opened Shanghai Disneyland.
  • Kim Irvine – Executive Creative Director of the Disneyland resort for Walt Disney Imagineering and Madame Leota in Haunted Mansion Holiday.
  • Dwayne Johnson – Maui in the animated and live-action Moana movies and Frank Wolff in “Jungle Cruise.”
  • Jonas Brothers – Musical trio starred in “Camp Rock” and other movies and shows on the Disney Channel.
  • Lin-Manuel Miranda – Songwriter for “Moana” and “Encanto,” actor in “Mary Poppins Returns” and “Percy Jackson & The Olympians” and producer of “The Little Mermaid” live-action remake.
  • Alan Tudyk – Voice of King Candy in “Wreck-It Ralph,” Duke Weaselton in the Zootopia franchise, Toucan in “Encanto” and Heihei in “Moana.”

The new Disney Legends class joins a select list of 329 honorees that features a handful of celebrity icons known by only one name — including Oprah (Winfrey), Elton (John), Harrison (Ford), Miley (Cyrus) and Whoopi (Goldberg).
