The Chosen is gearing up to give fans their first look at Season 6.
The biblical drama based on the life of Jesus has primarily filmed at Camp Hoblitzelle in Midlothian since Season 3. In April, The Chosen announced a Nov. 15 premiere for its sixth season on Prime Video.
Now, series creator Dallas Jenkins is teasing when the first trailer for the highly anticipated season will release. Here’s what to know.
The trailer release is part of what Jenkins calls a “huge livestream” that will also include screenings of two Season 1 episodes, an update on Season 7, new merchandise on the show’s website and a special appearance from Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line.
Fans can tune into Facebook, YouTube or The Chosen app at 6 p.m. on July 26 to view the livestream.
The Chosen is described as “a historical drama based on the life of Jesus and those who knew him.”
Season 5 premiered last year and followed Holy Week and the Last Supper. Season 6 will cover the Crucifixion and the final 24 hours of Jesus’ life before he is nailed to the cross.
Production on the seventh and final season of the series began in late April in Midlothian. The show took a trip to Utah for a few weeks in June to film scenes, and returned to North Texas in July to continue filming.
Season 6 will premiere three episodes on Nov. 15 on Prime Video, followed by weekly releases through Dec. 6. Fans will then have to wait until March 12, 2027, to see the Season 6 finale in movie theaters.
The Chosen seasons 1-5 are streaming on Prime Video.
