Jennifer Pedranti of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” apologized on social media on Thursday for her son’s involvement in a brushfire that burned about seven acres in Ladera Ranch on Tuesday, July 7.
“I would like to clear up the rumblings of my son having involvement in the Ladera Ranch fire,” Pedranti wrote on her Instagram story on Thursday, July 9, a few hours before Season 20 of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” premiered on Bravo. “He and others were involved.
“My ex-husband and I take this very serious,” she continued. “This behavior is unacceptable and we are deeply sorry to our community. This is a tough learning moment for our son and our family.”
Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Augie Romo said that three minors were questioned but no arrests were made. The OCFA spokesman said the cause of the fire remains under investigation and a complete report should be available within 10 days.
“We were so thankful there was no property damage and nobody was hurt,” Pedranti’s statement continued. “The fire and police were absolutely amazing and gave these boys a lesson they will never forget.
“There were no arrests made but consequences for actions are being put in place,” she said. “He will be taking a fire safety course to make sure a mistake like this never happens again.
“There are consequences within our family and we will make sure our son learns from this accident.”
Pedranti joined “The Real Housewives of Orange County” for its 17th season in 2023. At the time, she was going through a divorce from her husband Will Pedranti. Together they had five children, four boys – two of whom are minors – and one girl.
She had lived in Ladera Ranch prior to moving with her children into the San Juan Capistrano home of her fiancé Ryan Boyajian.
