
A 21-year-old repeat offender who went to jail for fondling a senior citizen in a wheelchair has now been arrested for groping a 70-year-old woman in her Harlem building, police said.
Nasir Seals confronted his latest victim inside her Harlem River Drive building near Frederick Douglass Blvd. on the morning of March 18, fondled her and tried to pull her shirt off, prosecutors say.
The woman fought him off, with Seals trying to open the door to her apartment before running off, authorities say.
Seals was arrested two days later for attempted rape, sex abuse and burglary.
He was ordered held on $50,000 bail at his arraignment In Manhattan Criminal Court the day of his arrest.
Seals lives a half-mile from where the latest incident happened. His lawyer had no comment.
Seals has two similar arrests on his record, accused of groping two woman, one 65 and in a wheelchair, the other 27, on the same day, Nov. 7, 2024, authorities said.
The older woman was confronted in an elevator in a building on W. 147th St. about 5:35 p.m., police said.
Seals telling her, “I want to pray for you,” Seals bizarrely told her before grabbing her, according to a criminal complaint.
Less than two hours later, he groped a woman on W. 150th St., then told her, “My fault, my fault,” according to the complaint.
After his arrest, he told investigators he touched the older woman’s breast by accident, explaining that he had never before seen someone in a wheelchair and “wanted to help her,” according to the complaint.
“She thought I was following her,” he added.
Seals ultimately plead guilty to two counts of forcible touching and was sentenced to 45 days in jail and six years probation, authorities said.
