An investigation was underway in Australia after “Orange is the New Black” actress Ruby Rose accused Katy Perry of sexually assaulting her at a Melbourne nightclub more than a decade ago.

In a statement to TMZ, Victoria Police confirmed the probe, saying its detectives are investigating an alleged “historical sexual assault” that happened in 2010.

“Police have been told the incident occurred at a licensed premises in Melbourne’s” Central Business District, it continued. “As the investigation remains ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage.”

It comes after Rose made her allegations against the “Dark Horse” singer in a Threads post on Sunday.

“Katy Perry sexual assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a s–t what she thinks,” the 40-year-old model wrote in response to a post about Perry’s reaction to Justin Bieber’s Coachella set.

The “Batwoman” actress added that the alleged assault occurred when they were both in their 20s.

“It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly,” she continued. “Though I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes. Thank you for seeing me.”

Due to the ongoing investigation, Rose on Tuesday said she was no longer able to talk publicly about the claims.

Perry has since vehemently denied the allegations, blasting them as “reckless lies.”

“The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous reckless lies,” a rep for the “Firework” singer said. “Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have been repeatedly been denied by those named.”
