The Discovery Cube Orange County is diving into Shark Week.
The themed activities continue one more weekend. Children can learn about sharks and why their skin feels like sandpaper and how their teeth can identify them. There will be a mobile aquarium and the permanent Sea Lab petting pool featuring live sharks and stingrays. Also, children can create shark-themed crafts.
Shark Week activities will be offered again on Aug. 1 and 2.
Also, the Discovery Cube has Ocean Encounter, “an immersive journey that dives deep into the mysteries of our blue planet and calls on you to help protect it,” on exhibit through Aug. 23.
