
After celebrating the Fourth of July, Dallas residents can celebrate another red, white and blue holiday. France’s national holiday, Bastille Day on July 14, commemorates the storming of the Bastille prison in Paris in 1789. It was a pivotal moment in the French Revolution.

LA FÊTE DE LA BASTILLE HAPPY HOUR
Enjoy a happy hour full of French art, culture and community at the Kimbell Art Museum. There will be live music by the String Theory Manouche, a French-themed scavenger hunt with prizes and an art-making activity.

FRENCH VOICES IN ART: A BASTILLE DAY CELEBRATION
Spend the afternoon learning more about French culture and France’s contributions to art through a three-part, beginner friendly, hands-on workshop. The activities will include a Featured Artist Workshop Series: La Beauté de la Chose; Eiffel Tower string art; Nicéphore Niépce and the Beginning of Photography; French Art Through the Ages; and the immersive Journey through France.

Kick off Bastille Day at Chez Fabien Bistro, and experience a night full of all-you-can-eat mussels, a crêpe station, live music and a can-can performance.

The 16th annual Bastille on Bishop is a street festival and an iconic neighborhood block party that celebrates Dallas’ French roots with street food, wine tastings, accordion music and vendors.
