A 34-year-old woman was shot and wounded after a gunman ambushed her in the driveway of her Bronx home, police said Tuesday.
The victim was struck in her left arm and buttocks as she pulled into the driveway of her Hollywood Ave. home near Dewey Ave. in Throgs Neck shortly after 10 p.m. Monday, according to law enforcement.
The shooter, wearing a black sweatshirt, was waiting inside a gray SUV when, upon seeing the victim drive up in her Mercedes-Benz sedan, he exited his vehicle and opened fire, cops said.
Medics rushed the victim to Jacobi Medical Center, where she’s expected to survive.
Police recovered one 9-mm. shell casing from the scene. The suspect fled and has not been arrested.
