A pedestrian was hit and killed by a white pickup truck in Long Beach over the weekend and police were searching for the truck and its driver, authorities said on Thursday, April 2.
The crash occurred just before 4 a.m. at Ninth Street and Fashion Avenue on Sunday, March 29, police said.
Officers arrived to find a woman getting treated by paramedics. She was taken to a hospital but died later that day.
The truck was traveling westbound on Ninth, police said.
The woman’s identity was withheld by police pending notification of her relatives.
The crash occurred in an industrial area just west of the 710 Freeway.
