A 19-year-old man was gunned down Wednesday afternoon, killed with a gunshot wound to the chest in the Bronx , cops said.
Lamar Simmons, 19, was shot at E. 183rd St. and Hughes Ave. in Belmont around 2:06 p.m., according to law enforcement officials.
Medics rushed Simmons to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition, where he died.
Police are searching for three men last seen fleeing the scene on a scooter heading eastbound on E. 183rd St., cops said.
Simmons lived in Belmont less than half a mile away from where he was shot, said police.
