Arlington police arrested two men Sunday morning after they fled the scene of a shooting that left three men injured.
Officers initially responded to reports of a fight about 3:30 a.m. in the 900 block of Terrell Circle, according to a statement.
Once there, police were waved down by several witnesses who directed them toward three men with gunshot wounds. The men, ages 23, 36 and 45, were transported to the hospital and are expected to survive, police said.
Investigators determined that two suspects showed up to a party at the location and got into a fight before one pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots. The two then fled the scene in a pickup truck, which witnesses identified as the suspect vehicle, as officers arrived.
It remains unclear what led to the altercation.
Officials with Mansfield police and the Tarrant County sheriff’s office located and conducted a traffic stop the truck shortly after Forney police sent out a vehicle description.
The men, ages 19 and 40, were arrested after a witness confirmed they were connected to the shooting, police said.
The 19-year-old was booked into the Arlington City jail and faces three charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one charge of fleeing a police officer. The 40-year-old suspect faces three charges of aggravated assault.
Police said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
