Universal Studios Hollywood chefs have rolled out a bone-chilling lineup of food and drink items themed to the Sinners, Stranger Things and Hellraiser haunted mazes for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights.

Horror Nights 2026 runs on select nights from Sept. 3 through Nov. 1 at the Hollywood theme park.

Universal Studios Hollywood Executive Chef Julia Thrash hosted the media for a sampling of many of the new menu items available during Horror Nights.

Here are the seven best things to eat and drink during Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood.

1) Remmick’s Burnt Ends

City Snacks on the Upper Lot

Smoked pork brisket with black garlic whiskey barbecue sauce and a side of jalapeno cornbread.

The tender and tasty burnt ends themed to the Sinners haunted house paired perfectly with the jalapeño cornbread that helped balance out the sweetness.

“We really wanted food from the time period and the Mississippi Delta,” Thrash said. “We wanted to dive into barbecue, but not go too far.”

2) Battle Bus Dog

A 22-inch all-beef hot dog topped with nacho cheese, red cabbage, banana peppers, Hot Cheetos and sriracha aioli.

The giant hot dog themed to the Fortnitemares scare zone looked more like a sausage, but was really an enormous all-beef dog. The massive beast of a meal was so big it came in a Battle Bus cardboard box.

There’s no way you could eat this by yourself. You’ll need to share it with a bunch of your friends.

“In Fortnite, the Battle Bus is your arrival vehicle when you’re starting the game,” Thrash said. “We had to have something big enough to fit in the Battle Bus.”

3) The Final Peel

Vanilla whoopie pie filled with banana caramel buttercream, salted toffee sauce and salted caramel crisp pearls.

The Fortnitemares-themed whoopie pie with neon green frosting was not as sweet as I expected — and turned out to be the best dessert of the bunch. The black skeleton printed on the frosting ties the eclair-like dessert to the Mr. Peely anthropomorphic banana character in the Fortnite game.

“The Final Peel is one of the characters within Fortnite,” Thrash said. “Mr. Peely continually becomes less of a banana and more of an exoskeleton as he gets into Fortnitemares.”

4) Clown Cafe Cauliflower Bites

Fried cauliflower with flaming hot sauce and corn chips.

I was surprised how much I liked the cauliflower nuggets since I desperately wanted there to be chicken inside the near-perfect breading. The corn chip nibbles added just the right amount of crunch to the tasty appetizer tied to the Terror Tram featuring Art the Clown.

“It’s actually surprisingly delicious,” Thrash said. “We wanted the hot sauce to be like blood splatter.”

5) Steve’s Smuggled Peanut Butter Bites

The Stranger Things-themed candy bars were perfect for someone like me who loves chocolate and peanut butter. You’ll probably want to share the bites with your friends if you don’t want to overdose on peanut butter. The chocolate chips on the outside will get all over your fingers — especially on a hot night.

“These are basically chocolate and peanut butter mixed together into a little bite,” Thrash said. “It’s themed to the scene with Steve and the candy bar.”

6) Silent Night Slasher

A vodka lemonade with green apple syrup, lime juice, ginger beer and a strawberry puree splashed on top. Also available as a mocktail.

The Art the Clown-themed cocktail looked like a pool of blood floating in a sickly green lemon lime drink. Green and red Christmas tree gummies added a holiday touch that tied nicely into this year’s Terror Tram theme. The Sprite-like drink wasn’t too sweet and will look great on your Instagram feed.

“It’s meant to look like blood dripping into the drink,” Thrash said. “The tie-in is to Art the Clown and his Christmas massacre.”

7) Skin and Chips Nachos

Spicy pork rinds with beef jerky and nacho cheese.

The pork rind nachos themed to the Hellraiser haunted maze offered a sick-and-twisted take on the classic snack. The bacon bits floating in the cheese sauce upped the pork flavor of the appetizer.

“We really want the pork rinds to represent skin,” Thrash said. “When you think about Hellraiser, it’s all those gross pieces and parts coming off. So it’s really meant to be that you’re eating the skin.”
