A 32-year-old woman was struck and killed by the driver of a box truck in Queens on Friday, cops said.
The victim was hit in the crosswalk as the truck’s driver turned left off of St. Nicholas Ave. onto Gates Ave. in Ridgewood around 8:30 a.m., according to law enforcement.

The woman suffered severe injuries to her head and body, police said. She was taken to Wyckoff Medical Center, where she died.
Police said the driver did not remain at the the scene, but both he and his truck were photographed by the Daily News down the street from where the crash occurred. The driver was taken into custody, but no charges have been filed against him, cop said.

The deadly crash occurred just hours before two elderly pedestrians were injured — including one critically — in a crash in Astoria.

An 80-year-old man and an 87-year-old woman were struck by the 51-year-old driver of a 2013 Nissan around 10:38 a.m., police said.
The Nissan driver struck the pair on the crosswalk as he turned left off of 35th Ave. onto Crescent St., cops said.

The Nissan driver remained at the scene. He was not arrested.
