Country singer Jelly Roll and his wife, Bunnie Xo, have decided to end their marriage after nearly a decade together.

The “Son of a Sinner” singer — whose real name is Jason DeFord — filed for divorce in Williamson County, Tenn., on May 18, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. The reason he is splitting from his podcaster wife, born Alisa DeFord, was not provided.

It comes just months after Jelly Roll took home the Grammy for best contemporary country album for “Beautifully Broken” back in February. He dedicated the honor to Bunnie, who wept while he accepted the award and paid tribute to her.

“I would never have changed my life without you. I’d have ended up dead or in jail,” he said at the time. “I would have killed myself if it wasn’t for you and Jesus.”

The 41-year-old also earned Grammys this year for his Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Amen” with Shaboozey and Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for “Hard Fought Hallelujah. The wins marked his first three ever.

Jelly Roll married Bunnie Xo in Las Vegas in the summer of 2016. In her recent memoir, “Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic,” she said she and Jelly Roll did their best to be open and support each other, no matter what. The podcaster went on to share about their separate struggles, including her past drug use. Jelly Roll, meanwhile, was in and out of jail on charges that included drug possession, dealing and aggravated robbery.

After news of their split broke, Bunnie took to Instagram to share a clip of her lip-syncing to Nickelback’s “This is How You Remind Me.”
