Southern California is pulling out all the stops for Fourth of July weekend. Concerts, firework spectaculars, outdoor movie screenings, patriotic celebrations and family-friendly festivities are taking place across the region. Whether you’re looking to sing-along with legendary bands, catch a blockbuster under the stars or watch fireworks light up the night sky, here’s a roundup of some of the events taking place July 2-5.

Agua Caliente Casinos

Agua Caliente Casinos will celebrate Fourth of July weekend with concerts, fireworks, a drone show and free entertainment spread across its Rancho Mirage, Palm Springs and Cathedral City properties. Highlights include a performance by legendary funk and soul group The Commodores, the Coachella Valley’s first integrated fireworks and drone show, tribute concerts, DJs, outdoor activities and holiday-themed food and drink specials throughout the weekend.

When: July 2-5. The Commodores perform at 8 p.m. Friday, July 3; fireworks and drone show begin at 9 p.m. Saturday, July 4.

The Beach Boys

Celebrate Fourth of July weekend with one of Southern California’s most iconic bands as The Beach Boys return to the Hollywood Bowl for a three-night run. Led by founding member Mike Love, the group will be joined by longtime collaborator John Stamos for a patriotic concert featuring decades of hits, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the band’s landmark album, “Pet Sounds.”

When: 7:30 p.m. July 2-4

Movies and Fireworks

Movie lovers can unwind on Independence Day with an outdoor screening of Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster “Jurassic Park” at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. The annual Cinespia event pairs the 1993 dinosaur adventure with a Fourth of July fireworks display, giving guests the chance to picnic on the cemetery’s lawn before the film begins under the stars. The cemetery will also be hosting a 25th anniversary screening of “Shrek” followed by fireworks Friday, July 3.

When: Gates open at 7:15 p.m.; movie begins at 9 p.m. Saturday, July 4.

America250 July 4th Concert

The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum will host one of the nation’s signature America250 celebrations with a day of live music, community activities and patriotic festivities. Hosted by Queen Latifah, the event will feature performances by Chris Stapleton, The Smashing Pumpkins and more, along with fireworks and a drone show following the concert. Guests can also arrive early to enjoy the free Block Party Village with food, drinks, games, giveaways and family-friendly activities.

When: Block Party Village opens at 3 p.m.; concert begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 4.

R&B vs. Slow Jams Independence Day Party

Toast the holiday with an afternoon of R&B classics and slow jams at Jungle Hollywood. The six-hour day party will feature DJs spinning hits from the ’90s and 2000s while guests can enjoy cocktails and dancing at the Hollywood venue. The event is open to guests 21 and older.

When: 4-10 p.m. Saturday, July 4.

Queen Mary

The Queen Mary will once again transform into a floating Fourth of July celebration with family-friendly festivities taking place throughout the historic ocean liner. Guests can explore multiple decks filled with live entertainment, interactive activities and themed experiences before capping off the evening with a waterfront fireworks show.

When: 3-10 p.m. Saturday, July 4.

Pacific Symphony SummerFest: Air Supply

The Pacific Symphony will kick off its SummerFest season with a patriotic concert celebrating America’s 250th birthday at Great Park Live. The evening will feature orchestral favorites led by conductor Chad Goodman before pop-rock duo Air Supply takes the stage, followed by a fireworks finale. Guests can also enjoy a pre-concert performance by the OC Swing Band beginning at 7 p.m.

When: Pre-concert entertainment begins at 7 p.m.; concert starts at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 4.
