Wendy’s story: While rescuing dogs from a shelter in San Bernardino, Mission Viejo Animal Services staff came across Wendy. Something about her sweet face and gentle demeanor immediately drew in the team. After meeting and falling in love with her, staff learned that Wendy needed to be placed that day or she faced euthanasia. It was fate that they were there to rescue Wendy. Since her rescue, Wendy has shown a quiet strength and untold stories. She recently had a litter of puppies — which have all found loving homes in San Bernardino — and has some scars on her face from an unknown past. She’s naturally shy and may take a little time to feel comfortable in new surroundings and around new people. But once she feels safe and at ease, her sweet, gentle, and loving personality shine through. Wendy loves walks and squeaky toys and would do best in a calm, loving home where she can relax and get all the love she deserves.
Adoption fee: Wendy’s fee is being sponsored by Dedicated Animal Welfare Group, the shelter’s nonprofit group, so an approved adopter pays just $20 for her microchip.
Adoption procedure: If you’d like to give Wendy a forever home, contact Mission Viejo Animal Services Center at 949-470-3045, or visit 28095 Hillcrest, Mission Viejo.
