A 71-year-old man was killed crossing a Queens street when he was struck by a passing SUV driver, cops said Friday.
Aftab Alam was crossing 11th St. at 38th Ave. in Long Island City when the driver of a red SUV struck him shortly after midnight on Nov. 2, police said.
Moments before the crash, the driver pulled out of a parking space on 38th Ave. before turning left onto 11th St. and striking the victim, according to police.
The motorist left the scene, cops said. It was not immediately clear if he knew he had hit someone.
Medics rushed Alam to Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he died.
Alam lived in Kew Gardens, police said.
There were no arrests.
