A 55-year-old woman and a 66-year-old man were found shot to death in an East Harlem apartment, police said Friday.
The victims were found at 10:34 p.m. Thursday, following a report of an assault at NYCHA’s Gaylord White Houses on 2nd Ave. near E. 105th St.
When police arrived, they found both victims shot in the head.
The two died at the scene, police said. Their names were not immediately disclosed.
The relationship between the victims was not immediately clear, according to police. A building superintendent told NBC that the male victim was a building resident and the woman was his home attendant.
Police said the shootings are being investigated as a double murder.
The Gaylord White Houses and the adjoining Metro North Plaza have over 900 residents, including over 240 seniors, according to its website.
There was no immediate arrest.
