The Anaheim Central Library is hosting O.C. Zine Fest 2026 on Aug. 15.
This is a celebration of the independent artists, writers, designers and creators in Orange County who are putting out tiny-batch publications including chapbooks, zines and other self-published works.
The festival is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Some 80 vendors are expected to participate.

Other special events at Anaheim Libraries coming up include citizenship counseling with OCCORD from 1 to 5 p.m. on Aug. 27 at the Central Library and the Sunkist Branch is offering Mexican folk art tin embossing from 4 to 5 p.m. on Aug. 21.
Help Caterina’s Club celebrate efforts
Caterina’s Club is celebrating 21 years of helping feed, house and educate children and families in need.
Its anniversary gala comes up on Sept. 27. This evening celebrates light, legacy and Impact.

Anaheim Ballet recently honored by City Council
The Anaheim City Council honored three Anaheim Ballet students at its July 28 meeting.
Shane Wexelman, Antonella Villa and Logan Ostaszewski were recognized for their participation in the Youth American Grand Prix 2026 finals in Houston.
Also, coming up on Aug. 29, Valery Lantratov, a former principal ballet dancer with the Moscow Stanislavsky Ballet and Kremlin Ballet, will be hosting classes at the school.

Shop crafters and artists
The Anaheim Craft & Vintage Fair is coming up on Sept. 19.
There will be more than 35 unique vendors for shoppers who are looking for a unique experience. These are crafters and artists who make what they sell.
There will also be great food for sale and a bake sale, too.
The fair will be hosted at the Annunciation Byzantine Catholic Church, 995 N. West St., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Entrance is free.

Volunteer as a docent at Founders’ Park
If you love learning about local history, join the others who share your love of community and be a docent at Anaheim’s historical park.
Founders’ Park docents have the opportunity to attend training, dress in vintage costumes, participate in open house events, participate in school tours, help with the seed library in the kitchen garden and decorate the buildings for Victorian Christmas Open House.
Founders’ Park features one of the city’s original homes, the 1857 Mother Colony House, and The Woelke-Stoffel House, a historic Queen Anne-style home built in 1894, as well as other buildings and displays that hark back to the city’s agricultural days.

Still opportunities to hear some music
The 2026 Concerts in the Park series plays on in Anaheim at the Pearson Park Amphitheatre
Remaining concerts are Aug. 15 and Aug. 22.
And, the Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center has another in its free summer concert series. Clever Soul will be performing its ’70s R&B on Aug.14.
The concerts are held right in the Muzeo’s Carnegie Plaza and have been celebrating the Seventies with local artists that define the sounds of the decade. Gates open at 6 p.m.
Take your own lawn chair and there will be wine and beer for purchase, and free arts and crafts, too.
Lots to do on the promenade
There are monthly events on the Center Street Promenade:
First Sunday of the month hosts Cars & Coffee Classics from 8 a.m. to noon.
The Downtown Anaheim Farmers’ Market is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekly on Thursdays.
The last Sunday of each month is the Shop Small soiree from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
