An ex-con was arrested after going on a shooting rampage in the Bronx, first wounding a stranger in the arm following an argument, and then barricading himself inside his 70-year-old ex-girlfriend’s apartment after shooting her and another man three days later, officials said.

Kenneth Morgan, 68, was arrested Saturday after police stormed the ninth-floor apartment in Morrisania where he barricaded himself after shooting his ex and the other man, 60, around 9:30 p.m., cops said.

Officers responding to the shooting noticed shell casings in the hallway outside the victim’s apartment on Third Ave. near E. 173rd St. before spotting the suspect after he stuck his head out of the victim’s front door, a police source said.

The suspect, after discovering police outside his ex’s apartment, slammed the door shut and barricaded himself inside, the source said.

NYPD Emergency Service Unit officers stormed the apartment to find the suspect waving an orange firearm, which he pointed at police, according to a criminal complaint. It was not immediately clear if police subdued the suspect, or if he surrendered himself.

Also inside, officers found the suspect’s ex with a gunshot wound to her stomach, and the other man suffering a bullet wound to his torso.

Both victims told police, “Kenny shot me,” court documents show.

Morgan was charged with attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and menacing police, among other charges, police said.

While in custody, officers connected Morgan to another shooting that occurred about a mile away in Belmont on Oct. 14.

In that case, Morgan was arguing with a 49-year-old man in the courtyard of a Hughes Ave. apartment building near E. 180th St. when he opened fire around around 10 p.m., cops said.

Medics rushed the victim, who was struck in the right arm, to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.

Morgan was charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon for that shooting.

He was arraigned Monday in Bronx Criminal Court, where a judge ordered Morgan held without bail after he pleaded not guilty to both shootings.

Morgan has a criminal record that includes 25 arrests since 1982, cops said. His most recent arrest was in September, 2019, when he was cuffed for criminal possession of a weapon.

He’s been convicted 11 times in the Bronx, most recently in 2021 for a weapons charge, for which he was sentenced to two-to-four years in prison.
