A suspect has been arrested after a week-long manhunt for wounding a labradoodle named Honey with a stray bullet in Brooklyn, police said Tuesday.
Adrian Benitez, 29, is accused of opening fire about 5:45 p.m. Aug. 19 as the 7-year-old dog and her owner, a 64-year-old woman, walked down 31st St. near Fifth Ave. in Greenwood Heights.

Police say Benitez fired a single shot at a man but missed and hit Honey.
Her owner, who was not hurt, took Honey home right away and family members then rushed the dog to a nearby veterinarian clinic.

Honey, struck in the shoulder, is now home recovering.
Benitez lives in Sunset Park, according to cops.
