A security scare caused panic during the 2026 White House Correspondents’ Dinner when a gunman opened fire in the lobby on Saturday, April 25, 2026. President Trump and other government officials were swiftly evacuated from the Washington Hilton. The suspect is in custody, according to FBI’s Washington field office.
