CHVRCHES announces new album and 2027 tour with Los Angeles, San Diego stops

Scottish synth-pop trio CHVRCHES returns to Southern California next spring, with concerts at the Observatory North Park in San Diego on March 12 and the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on March 14, 2027.

The two shows are part of a North American tour supporting the band’s fifth studio album, “All the King’s Men,” due Jan. 22, 2027, through Futures Music Group. The 11-track record will be the group’s first full-length release since 2021’s “Screen Violence,” ending a nearly six-year gap between albums.

Presale tickets for the North American shows will be available starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27. Tickets for the general public go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30 at chvrch.es.

The announcement marks another chapter for vocalist Lauren Mayberry, guitarist and keyboardist Iain Cook and keyboardist Martin Doherty, who stepped away from the band in 2023 after touring “Screen Violence.” During the break, Mayberry pursued solo music while the three members explored different musical interests before eventually reuniting in Glasgow to work on the new record.

The band offered an early look at the album last month with “Roses,” a song that takes aim at contemporary British society and its relationship with the past. Other tracks on the upcoming release include “Adore You,” “Comedown Tomorrow,” “Royal Blue” and “Faith in Flying.”

CHVRCHES will begin its North American tour Feb. 13 in Philadelphia, with stops in New York, Chicago, Seattle, Oakland and other cities before wrapping up the run in Los Angeles. The band will then head overseas for a series of U.K. and Ireland dates beginning April 23 in Glasgow.

Before returning to Southern California next spring, CHVRCHES will also play a sold-out show at the Troubadour in West Hollywood on Nov. 16, giving fans a chance to see the trio in a much smaller setting ahead of its upcoming tour.
