The first official day of Comic-Con International starts on Thursday, July 23, with the star-studded cast of a new action film, a K-pop boy band and producers of two anticipated foreign films.

Hollywood is back in force with the cast of a new action thriller, “Onslaught,” starring Adria Arjona, coming off the Star Wars show “Andor”; Dan Stevens, known for “Downton Abbey” and dozens of projects; and Rebecca Hall, an actress known for numerous movies including the Godzilla vs. King Kong films.

It’s a good sign for the rest of the convention if “Onslaught” is coming on Thursday, likely meaning more space is needed for other film projects on Friday and Saturday. Hollywood largely stayed away in 2025, so early signs point to a reversal this year.

Other notable events will be the cast of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” on hand to preview its third season; creators behind anticipated animated film “Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender”; and producers of video games “Marvel’s Wolverine” and “Marvel Rivals.”

There is more of an international flair to Thursday’s schedule with the cast and creators of upcoming Indian film “Ramayana” starring Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor, and the cast of South Korean film “Hope,” starring Jung Ho-yeon from “Squid Game.” Korean boy band Enhypen will also show up to promote its webtoon.

Here are some highlights with official descriptions courtesy of the folks at Comic-Con.
