
A cop was shot in the leg inside a Brooklyn apartment building on Friday, police sources said.
The incident occurred on Kosciuszko St. near Marcy Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant at about 6:30 a.m.
Cops were responding to a report of shots fired in the building. When they arrived, they heard that the gunman ran into an apartment and barricaded himself inside, a police source with knowledge of the case said.
When officers forced open the door, several people ran out of the apartment, the source said. A moment later, the cop was shot in the leg.
He was rushed to Kings County Hosptial, where he’s expected to survive, the source said.
A second person, believed to be the shooter, was also shot, but it wasn’t immediately clear how. The man was in critical condition at Woodhull Medical Center.
A third person suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
