A man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a crash that killed an 83-year-old man Thursday, Sept. 10 in Lake Forest.
Sean Kooklin, 48, was arrested and booked in Orange County Jail after the crash that deputies responded to around 8 p.m. near Portola Parkway and Market Place, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities allege Kooklin vehicle hit the pedestrian, whom deputies found on the ground with severe injuries. He was hospitalized and later pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing.
