Ex-NYPD cadet raped girl, 17, in Brooklyn after meeting on dating app: D.A.

A former NYPD Police Academy cadet was arrested Tuesday for deceiving a 17-year-old girl about his age and then raping her in Brooklyn — just weeks after he allegedly forced himself on a woman at a motel in Queens, according to Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez.

Ahmed Elnahtawy, 24, is charged with rape, sexual abuse, forcible touching and sexual misconduct for the Nov. 30 attack, according to prosecutors. He pleaded not guilty and was ordered held on $50,000 bail, cash or bond.

“This defendant is accused of lying about his age, arranging to meet a teenager and then assaulting her when she rebuffed him,” Gonzalez said. “The alleged conduct is disturbing and completely unacceptable, especially from someone seeking a career in law enforcement. We will now work to hold him accountable.”

Elnahtawy met the teen on a dating app, where he lied about his age before arranging through Instagram to meet the girl at her home in Flatbush, where he forced himself on her, prosecutors said.

The girl reported the rape a few days later to her guidance counselor, who notified police. The case was investigated by the NYPD’s Internal Affairs Bureau.

The alleged November rape occurred less than two months after the NYPD cadet is accused of attacking a woman inside the Woodside Motor Inn in Queens on Oct. 4., court documents show.

Elnahtawy grabbed the victim’s head and forced her to perform oral sex as she cried and begged him to stop inside the motel on Queens Blvd. near 65th St., according to a criminal complaint.

The cadet was arrested on Dec. 4 for sexual assault in that incident and charged with rape, forcible touching and sexual abuse. Elnahtawy pleaded not guilty to those charges and was released without bail, records show.

The NYPD fired Elnahtawy on Jan. 21, cops said.

The charges against Elnahtawy coincide with the arrest of NYPD Police Officer Daheem Morris, who was also charged Tuesday with rape and various sex crimes for allegedly forcing himself on a 20-year-old girl in Brooklyn.

Morris, 27, and a 20-year-old woman were sitting alone in a car after a party in Canarsie, when he forced himself on her as she pleaded for him to stop and tried to push him away, prosecutors said.
