Fans of comics, sci-fi, anime, gaming, and cosplay are getting another chance to attend a convention before Comic-Con International in San Diego kicks off next month.
The Fan Expo in Anaheim returns to the Anaheim Convention Center, June 26–28, with star-studded guests including Mark Hamill, Jared Padalecki, Giancarlo Esposito, Ahmed Best, actors from the “Lord of the Rings” franchise and more.
Tickets for the event are $109-$312 for a three-day pass and $45-$67 for single-day tickets. Family bundle pricing for single-day admission, which includes two adults and up to four kids ages 6-12, is $94-$116. Single-day youth tickets for ages 13-17 are $39-$45, and $13 for kids 6-12.
Among this year’s biggest events at Fan Expo are an evening with Mark Hamill, an autograph panel with comic artist Joe Quesada, a team-up between Greg Capullo, Mark Brooks, and Mitch Gerads and a 25th anniversary panel with the cast of “The Lord of the Rings.”
The “Lord of the Rings” panel will include Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, and Billy Boyd for a reunion celebrating 25 years of Middle-earth magic. Fans will get a chance to choose from an exclusive backstage pass, team-up or individual photo ops and autographs, and tickets to their special panel, dubbed “An Evening with the Hobbits: In Celebration of 25 Years.”
There will also be Fan Expo-exclusive 25th-anniversary “Lord of the Rings” collectibles for sale, such as the replica prop Sting sword, replica prop LotR Ring with Runes and a LotR journal. The collectibles can be preordered and purchased online at fanexpohq.com ahead of the convention.
Comic book fans will also be able to purchase exclusive comics from major series, including “Summer of Supergirl #1,” “Transformers #33,” “Absolute Batman #19 & #20,” the DC/Marvel crossover “Superman/Spiderman #1,” and more.
Other collectible figurines and merchandise will also be available for purchase at the convention, along with celebrity autograph tickets.
