Man fatally shot in the head outside Bronx apartment building

A 39-year-old man was shot dead in an execution-style killing outside a Bronx shelter Tuesday while walking with a woman who refused to leave the man’s body after he bled out on the sidewalk, police said.

“Don’t touch him! Don’t touch him!” the grieving woman pleaded with police as they investigated the cold-blooded killing on Grand Ave. near W. 190th St. in Fordham around 6:50 p.m., according to law enforcement and a video supplied by a witness.

The victim was walking with a woman dressed in pink when the gunman crept up to the couple and shot his victim at point-blank range, a witness told the Daily News.

“He ran up on them, a man and a woman. When he got close, he shot him twice,” said the witness, who refused to share her name for fear of reprisal. “When he fell down on the sidewalk, he shot him two more times in the head.”

The man died at the scene. His name was not immediately disclosed as cops tracked down the victim’s relatives.

Cellphone footage obtained by The News shows the woman with the victim screaming “Jesus!” and “Oh my f—— God!” as she sits beside his body, surrounded by police.

When a police officer tries to inspect the victim’s remains, the woman puts her hands out, pleading, “Don’t touch him!” the video shows.

At least seven shots were fired, police said.

The gunman ran off. There were no arrests.
