Man says Soho street vendors stole his cell phone and jewelry at gunpoint

Two Soho street vendors were taken into custody Saturday after a customer said the pair stole his jewelry and cell phone, police said.

The 56-year-old victim got into a dispute with multiple street vendors over a purchase of an item at Broadway and Howard Sts. around 11:45 a.m., according to police. The victim told cops one of the vendors then brandished a firearm and stole his valuables during the dispute.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

Possible charges against the two vendors were were pending.
