Aurelio Padilla died at 4:19 p.m. at the scene, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
Officers responded to reports of a major traffic collision between a sanitation truck and a car in the 900 block of North Main Street just after 4 p.m.
Officials did not say if the sanitation truck driver was hurt during the incident.
Police said the crash is being investigated in partnership with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
