A 58-year-old man’s decomposing body found in his Brooklyn apartment with a knife sticking out of his neck, police said Monday.
The man was discovered dead by cops about 12:40 p.m. Sunday after someone called 911 to report a foul odor coming from the apartment on Madison St. near Malcolm X Blvd. in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
The body had started to decompose but it wasn’t immediately clear when he died. The victim’s name was not immediately released.
The case is being investigated as a homicide but police are waiting for a city Medical Examiner autopsy to determine his cause of death.
