Nicki Minaj’s lawyers want to fire her as a client

Lawyers representing singer Nicki Minaj no longer wish to represent the “Anaconda” singer and her Pink Friday Productions company.

The team at Kurzman Eisenberg Corbin & Lever has asked a court to remove them as counsel for a case brought forth by 24/7 Productions, according to TMZ.

They cite “irreconcilable differences” among the reasons they no longer want to defend Minaj against the team that worked on her “Pink Friday 2” album.

24/7 Productions claims they’re owed $200,000 in expenses for their involvement in that project.

Minaj’s lawyers also blame “conduct of the representation” in their request to be taken off the case. They reportedly attempted to serve their famous client notice of their position in her $10 million home, but claim to be having a hard time communicating with her.

Minaj is also being sued by the law firm Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani. They separately contend her Harajuku Barbie Music company owes nearly $300,000 for charges and fees they incurred while representing her in a copyright case involving the 2014 song “I Lied,” according to Rolling Stone. That firm reportedly renewed a previous request for a default judgment on Tuesday.

Minaj was spotted in New Hampshire on Tuesday greeting voters at a polling place, according to NBC 10 in Boston. The politically active performer also appeared at a rally leading up to the midterms in Michigan last week.
