An NYPD Inspector arrested for attempted rape of a woman under his command at a Bronx stationhouse has been booted off the force, cops said Tuesday.

Inspector Jeremy Scheublin was arrested Friday on a laundry list of charges, including sexual abuse, assault and unlawful imprisonment for attacking the officer while they were on duty at Fordham Heights’ 46th Precinct on New Year’s Day 2025.

The high-ranking cop, who was previously suspended, had put in for retirement, but his efforts to leave the force on his own terms were thwarted Monday when he was fired from the department.

An attorney for Scheublin said his client was terminated for refusing to cooperate with an internal investigation into the attempted rape allegations.

“The reason he was discharged is not because of the merits of the case,” defense attorney Oliver Stortch said. “He was not discharged because of any finding of guilt or misconduct related to the civil suit. It was strictly based on that he refused to answer questions while there’s a civil case ongoing in (Bronx) Supreme Court and a criminal case in (Bronx) Supreme Court.”

“He was not fired because he was found to have done anything wrong,” the lawyer added.

Although his 24 years on the force entitle him to a full pension, Scheublin will not receive a so-called “Good Guy” letter allowing him to carry a firearm, nor will he be able to keep his service weapon, which was taken along with his badge in March when he was placed on modified duty more than a year after the subordinate he allegedly targeted began cooperating in probes by Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark’s office and the NYPD.

In a civil suit filed March 6 against Scheublin and the city, the victim, a decorated five-year veteran of the force, alleged the attack came after Scheublin tricked her into being alone with him at the Fordham Heights stationhouse, where he was commanding officer.

“I don’t know whether to kiss or choke you,” the lawsuit and indictment filed Friday quoted Scheublin telling the victim, adding that he said he wanted to “make biracial babies.”

The incident occurred while the inspector had authority over his victim as the commander of the 46th Precinct, prosecutors said, outlining the encounter in detail.

“Inspector Scheublin blocked the exit of his office. He grabbed at the victim’s buttocks,” Assistant District Attorney Michael Naughton said in court Friday. “He picked the victim up and dropped her on the couch. Got on top of her. Tried to kiss her while she was blocking her face.”

“And Inspector Scheublin also tried to pull open the victim’s belt while she was standing, but he was thwarted when the victim kicked Inspector Scheublin in the testicles,” Naughton continued. “As Inspector Scheublin and the victim were leaving his office, Inspector Scheublin told the victim, ‘The next time you come to my office, make sure you wear sweatpants.’”

The victim alleges the incident came after more than a year of being constantly sexually harassed and pestered by Scheublin. She said he tried to bully and intimidate her into silence by making her work unbearable and her ability to balance motherhood impossible, including by altering her schedule to 3 a.m. shifts, removing her longtime partner and cutting back on her overtime to the tune of $20,000 in a year.
