A 20-year-old woman was shot in the throat as she showed up for work at a Staten Island Target store early Friday, police said.

Detectives believe the young woman’s boyfriend fired the bullet outside the store on Richmond Ave. near Forest Hill Road in New Springville, just down the road from the Staten Island Mall, before fleeing the scene on a motorcycle, police sources said.

The victim, who works at the Target, was entering the store at 7:35 a.m. when she was shot, cops said.

She was conscious and alert when first responders arrived. EMS rushed her to Staten Island University North Hospital where she’s expected to survive.

Cops quickly identified the woman’s boyfriend as the shooter and were looking to question him, a police source with knowledge of the case said.
