A 21-year-old woman was raped inside a Harlem subway station by a man she was on a date with — and the NYPD has shared an image of her suspected attacker.
The victim was inside the W. 125th St. station at St. Nicholas Ave. when her date sexually assaulted her about 7:40 p.m. Sunday, cops say.
The victim told police she’d met the suspect while out with friends about a week before the attack and the pair exchanged numbers.
After meeting up with him, the woman consumed several drinks and had difficulty recalling details of the attack, police said.
After departing the station by train following the assault, the victim traveled to a local hospital by private means for treatment.
The NYPD released a photo of the suspect Tuesday and are asking the public’s help identifying him and tracking him down.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
